Fully optimised website development for new venture

Innovative start-up, Six Sentinels, wanted to come to market with a robust website that clearly explained them and set them comfortably against competitors. They already had a web design agency engaged to build the site and wanted to ensure that website navigation and content were fully optimised.

Get to know your audience

Building any new website or refreshing an existing site always starts at the same place – you need to know your audience; how they search, what they expect you to offer and what you need them to know about your business.

When taking the brief from Six Sentinels, Rachel Hodges established what were the online user needs and business goals of the website. These included key tasks the website should perform, competitors to be aware of, product brand values and ‘much loved’ websites that had something to teach.

“Rachel’s gift is that, through attentive listening, she understands your business, and then uses her formidable writing skills to translate its major strengths into well-wrought and convincing prose.” Six Sentinels

It was also essential to discover and adopt keywords that best explained the business and matched online searches. These were then applied to website page names and included into fresh page content that was created as part of the project.

Ready for build

Building a website is so much more than choosing a font and pictures for your home page. Six Sentinels know that success comes from a website that meets user expectations, built to maximise online presence. Their website is now in production with their web design agency.
