In-house SEO training for SME

With their website indexing trashed through unexplained bad back-links, leading office furniture supplier, Whiteleys desperately needed to improve their online SEO. With a digital marketing agency resolving the link issues, we were brought in to boost understanding of on-page SEO. We put together a programme of training to improve website content and provide web editors with the confidence to fully interrogate website analytics.

Visiting the team a day a month for six months, we delivered in-house training to staff members tasked with creating and managing website content, providing them with hands-on practical sessions. Tackling the subject in bite-size pieces, we grew their understanding of how to write effectively for the web adopting an SEO strategy, learning keyword research and how to effectively use their Content Management System (CMS).

“Taking a gradual approach to improving our SEO has allowed us to embed our new-found knowledge into our daily work. We now have a stronger understanding of how to research keywords, create content our customers want to read and have a stronger understanding of the work carried out by our digital marketing agency.”

Steve Newins, Director, Whiteley’s Office Supplies.

Whiteley’s staff now feel confident to create their own keyword-rich, optimised content for the company website. They are working more closely with their digital marketing agency and building a robust Content Strategy for their website.
